Someone (maybe it was me?) told Jon to write some lyrics. He emailed them to all of us and we sort of jammed on the idea for a while, I pared the lyrics a little here and there, and then we came up with this bad boy. Jon loved that SF zoo tiger attack. And, really, who could blame him?
lyrics
sometimes i think about how
everything could just be one big show
that i didn't know about.
all the lights would come on,
everyone would come out from backstage,
and all the sad, familiar faces
have the biggest grins stretching out their faces.
the credits are rolling,
fucking starship's playing!
after three long seasons,
the show has finally come to an end.
but the main support can't seem to get their lines right,
and all the others are playing their parts.
Stumbled across this great band because of Martha the band and I just love their sometimes melancholy garage-sound.
Also I like the acoustic songs.
I still remember seeing them live in my hometown when they were touring with Erica Freas and asked them for a setlist to have something to remember the great concert.
It´s hanging on my wall since that day :) Ninehundredninetynine
